중국군이 최근 건조된 052D형 쿤밍급 이지스함을 추가적으로 남해함대에 배치하며 남중 국해를 관할하는 최신형 구축함을 세 척으로 증강했다. 이 구축함은 美 해군이 운용하는 이지스함과 동일한 전투력을 가진 것으로 알려져 있다.

중국언론과 외신에 따르면 중국해군은 지난 달 남부 하이난성 산야시 유린 해군항에서 우성리 사령관 등 해군 수뇌부가 참석한 가운데 ‘허페이’로 명명된 052D형 구축함에 대한 취역식을 거행했다

중국 언론에 따르면 왕덩핑 해군 부정치위원은 연설에서 허페이함은 중국이 설계하고 건조해 배치한 최신예 유도 미사일 운용 구축함이라고 밝히면서, 이는 군민융합의 모범적인 사례라고 말했다.

중국해군은 제1호 052D형 구축함인 쿤밍함을 2014년 3월 남해함대에 배치한 데 이어 올해 8월 취역한 제2호 052D형 구축함인 창샤함도 동일 함대에 배치한 것으로 알려 졌다.

중국군 당국에 따르면 해군의 차세대 핵심 전력으로 꼽히는 유도미사일 장착 052D형 구축함은 만재 배수량이 7천t가량으로, 64발의 대함·대공·대잠수함 미사일을 장착할 수 있으며, 미국 해군 함정에 배치된 것보다 우수한 위상배열레이더를 탑재하고 있는 것으 로 알려져 있다. 미사일 수직발사 시스템도 갖췄다.

중국이 2년도 채 안되는 짧은 기간에 최신 예 구축함을 이처럼 잇달아 남중국해에 배치 한 조치는 점점 치열해지는 남중국해 영유권 분쟁에서 주변국들과 이들을 지원하는 미국의 공세에 밀리지 않겠다는 강력한 의지로 해석 되고 있다.

중국해군은 최소 10척의 052D형 구축함을 배치할 계획을 가지고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다.

The Chinese Navy has commissioned another Type 052D Kunming-class destroyer, bringing to three the number of the guided missile-capable Type 052D destroyers delivered by the naval force to its South Sea Fleet. This newly-built vessel is considered as the Chinese equivalent to the U.S. AEGIS destroyers.

The vessel, codenamed Hefei, was commissioned by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy at a ceremony staged last month at Yulin Naval Base in Sanya, in the island province of Hainan, according to Chinese media reports.

Vice-Admiral Wang Dengping, deputy political commissar of the PLA Navy, said at the ship's commissioning ceremony at the Yulin base that the Hefei is the most advanced destroyer ever built by China. He said its service would significantly boost the Navy's joint combat capability and play an important role in safeguarding the country’s maritime interests.

The first vessel of the Type 052D vessel, codenamed Kunming, was commissioned by the PLA Navy in March 2014 to be assigned to the South China Fleet. Changsha, the second Type 052D Destroyer, joined the same fleet last August.

According to Chinese military authorities, the Type 052D destroyer, known to be the latest generation of guided-missile destroyer of the Chinese Navy, has a full displacement of near ly 7,000 metric tons and a wide range of weapons, including 64 units of surface-to-surface cruise missiles and anti-aircraft and anti-submarine missiles. Adopting a host of cutting-edge technologies, the vessel features a state-ofthe-art phased array radar system, known to be more advanced than that for U.S. Navy destroyers. The vessel is also known to have a vertical missile launching system. China’s move to keep deploying the advanced destroyers to the South China Sea is widely seen as its intention to sternly deal with the ongoing South China Sea-related disputes in which the United States backs its alliesinvolved in the maritime conflict. China reportedly has a plan to build at least10 Type 052D destroyers in total for the PLA Navy.
